The introductory session of the 2015-16 ‘Europe in the World’ Research Seminar Series discussed the aims, purpose, and objectives of the seminar series and allowed the participants to get acquainted. In addition to providing a forum for discussion and debate on core security issues and challenges facing Europe, the seminar series provided an opportunity for both established and younger researchers to present their work. A small reception followed the introductory session.
