Martina Popova joined the EUI in April 2018 as a Communications Specialist for two of the flagship programmes of the Robert Schuman Centre. Before moving to Italy, she worked for 5 years as a communications officer for conservation NGOs in Bulgaria such as WWF and the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BirdLife International) where, among other tasks, she led international communication campaigns and the development of high-impact audio-visual materials. In addition, she has experience as a project coordinator for conservation and community programmes funded by the European Union and the Bulgarian-Swiss Cooperation Programme in Bulgaria. She holds a BA in European Studies and a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria and a Master’s in European Studies from Maastricht University. She is interested in digital behaviour and online marketing.
