CoCoCo - Security assistance and border management in Lebanon
The project focuses on recent multi-actor interventions to strengthen Lebanese security agencies’ border management capacity.
The Initiative on Conflict and Interventions (ICI) advances the Robert Schuman Centre’s research agenda on war and armed conflict. Recognising that violence, war, and international interventions remain critical issues in global politics, this Initiative connects scholarly research on armed conflict and war with discussions on the evolution and effectiveness of key peace and security governance tools.
The ICI examines how global power politics shape these practices and transform local security dynamics and conflict trajectories. As part of the Global Governance Programme, the Initiative seeks to deepen understanding of how visions and practices of peace and war are constructed, maintained, and reinterpreted, as well as how their underlying infrastructures and mechanisms evolve over time.
