Asia-EU Trade Workshop and Roundtable

On 31 May and 1 June 2019 the Global Economics team at the Global Governance Programme of  the Schuman Centre organised a workshop and round-table on 'Asia-EU Trade'. he participants discussed ongoing research papers...

On 22 June 2018 the Robert Schuman Centre, in line with its mission to promote policy dialogue with the world of practice, held a discussion titled ‘Terrorism and Security Governance’ involving both well-known academics in the field as well as officials from the European CommissionNATO, and Europol.

Terrorism poses both a policy and an analytical challenge. Yet, if we are to respond effectively to the policy challenge we need first to respond effectively to the analytical challenge. At the same time, for quite many years, data-driven analysis and information regarding the terrorist risk Europe is facing has failed to reach opinion makers and mainstream audiences. In this light, the aim of the  ‘Terrorism and Security Governance’ Forum is dual: first to feed academic reflection about the analytical problems we face in the study of terrorism, and second, to frame and inform the public discussion on the security situation in Europe.

‘Terrorism and European Security Governance’

Conference held in Florence on 16 June 2017

For quite many years, data-driven analysis and information regarding the terrorist risk Europe is facing has failed to reach opinion makers and mainstream audiences. This conference’s aim was dual: first to feed academic reflection about the analytical problems we face in the study of terrorism, and second, to frame and inform the public discussion on the security situation in Europe.

This event was organised by the Global Governance Programme and co-sponsored by NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division.
