Voluntary Sustainability Standards
This project reflects on the phenomenon of private transnational governance and in particular on Voluntary Sustainability Standards and their role for trade and sustainable development. The activities involve research collaboration with the International Trade Centre and the United Nations Forum on Sustainability Standards as well as with leading scholars in the field organised through interactions under the umbrella of an Academic Advisory Council (AAC). The Global Economics team of the Global Governance Programme hosted the AAC meeting in 2023.
