Biography
Or Rosenboim is a Jean Monnet Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, the European University Institute.
She is a Senior Lecturer at the department of International Politics at City, University of London, where she directs the Centre for Modern History. Before taking up this appointment, she held a Junior Research Fellowship at Queens’ College, Cambridge (2014-2017).
Her research explores the history of international thought in the twentieth century. She is particularly interested in the idea of the global and its influence on visions of world order in Europe and the United States. She has published extensively on political spaces, federal thought, geopolitics, globalism and world order. Her award-winning book, The Emergence of Globalism: Visions of World Order in Britain and the United States, 1939-1950 was published by Princeton University Press in 2017.
Or completed her PhD at the department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge, an Mst in Global and Imperial History at Oxford (distinction) and a BA in Contemporary History at the University of Bologna (summa cum laude). She was a visiting fellow at the University of Chicago, Sciences Po Paris, and LUISS Rome.
