Biography
Jasminka Pecotić Kaufman is a Professor of Law at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics and Business, Department of Business Law. Her recent research focuses on the challenges of enforcing competition rules in European post-socialist countries.
Professor Pecotić Kaufman’s work has appeared in the Journal of Antitrust Enforcement, the World Competition Law and Economics Review, and the Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies. Her article ‘Judicial Interpretation and Competition Rules: Excessively Stringent Standard of Proof as a Threat for Effectiveness of Competition Law’ has been shortlisted for the 2023 Concurrences Antitrust Writing Awards.
She is Vice-President of the Croatian Competition Law and Policy Association, a Co-Director of the ASCOLA South-East Europe Chapter, a Member of the Editorial Board of the Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies, a Member of the International Advisory Board of the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies, and a Non-Governmental Advisor (NGA) to the International Competition Network. Professor Pecotić Kaufman is the founder of the Šoljan Competition Law and Policy Conference series.
