Debora Valentina Malito is A. W. Mellon Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Humanities at the Department of Political Studies, University of Cape Town. Since 2013 she has been Research Associate at the Global Governance Programme of the European University Institute. She holds a PhD in Political Studies, MA in International Relations (University of Milan), and BA in Economics and Social Science (University of Calabria). Her research interests concern: The politics of international intervention in Africa; Critical approaches to governance, liberal peace and security studies; State theory, state-making and state-building; The political economy of measuring governance; The politics and authority of governance and stateness measures.
