Luca Mancini holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick, with a thesis on higher education and the labour market for university graduates. Between 2004 and 2007 he was research officer in applied econometrics at the Centre for Research on Inequality, Human Security and Ethnicity (CRISE), Department of International Development, University of Oxford and continued to collaborate with CRISE on inequality-related research until 2009. In 2010 he joined the EUI as research assistant to the 2010 European Report on Development dealing with issues of poverty, inequality and social protection, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. Later he joined the Italian National Statistical Institute where he has been working since in the capacity of researcher on methodological issues relating to the engineering and quality assessment of population censuses.
