Heidi Hardt is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of California, Irvine and the recipient of the 2014-2015 Fulbright-Schuman European University Institute (EUI) Chair fellowship in Florence, Italy. Her current research investigates strategic decision-making at NATO on military interventions. Hardt has published widely on international organizations and conflict management. Her recent book is titled Time to React: The Efficiency of International Organizations in Crisis Response and published by Oxford University Press. She received her MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics and her Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. She has also worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Centre for International Peace and Security Studies with the Université de Montréal and McGill University and as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Texas at Arlington.
