The World Trade Forum is an annual event organised by the World Trade Institute (Bern), the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (European University Institute, Florence) and the CEPR Trade Policy Research Network. It brings together practitioners from governments and international organizations, scholars and analysts working on international trade and investment issues.

In 2016, the conference focused on the state of play in negotiating so-called 21st century trade agreements such as TTIP, the trade implications of Brexit, and challenges confronting the World Trade Organization (WTO). Many sessions have discussed new and ongoing research on the effects of domestic policies in areas such as health and safety standards, regulation of service sectors, and public procurement procedures on trade and investment.
