The workshop – “Mobilising Diasporas: Engaging with the Place of Origin for Bosnians-Herzegovinians and Ukrainians in the UK and Austria” – has been held on Friday, 25th September 2015, in Brighton, UK. It was a joint initiative of the London Metropolitan University and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Vienna, Austria.  It has been attended by a diverse audience of practitioners, academics, policy makers, activists and investors, related to Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Ukraine. The workshop aimed to disseminate important project outcomes while offering a platform for networking and reflection to all participants. Joint discussions have focused on the potentials of and limitations to Diaspora engagement, looking into what policy change are needed and, ways for better connecting research and practice.
